Tango at Its Source

Tango Is Not Only Something You Dance. It Is Something You Live.

Buenos Aires is unlike any other Tango destination. Here, Tango lives in the music, cafés, neighbourhoods, history, language and rhythm of everyday life.

To truly understand the dance, you need to experience the culture and city that shaped it.

This retreat invites you inside that world — to train, dance, explore, connect and return home with a deeper relationship to Tango.

Buenos Aires in Summer

In January, the City Explodes with Tango

World-class maestros return home from international tours. Milongas welcome live orchestras, acclaimed performers, local dancers and visitors from around the world.

The evenings are warm, the dance floors are alive and there is almost too much Tango to choose from.

Dancing Tango in Buenos Aires does not need to remain a dream. You can live it — and live it well.

Buenos Aires from the Inside

Come Home to Buenos Aires with Us

Buenos Aires is not simply somewhere we visit. It is part of our life, work and professional Tango community.

Andrés is Argentine, and together we have lived and worked in the city, performing in renowned Tango theatres, cultural spaces and prestigious milongas.

The maestros you meet are our colleagues. We know the hidden cafés, historic studios, neighbourhoods, parrillas and the milonga that is truly worth attending on any particular evening.

As we continue performing professionally during the retreat, guests may also have the opportunity to see us live in a theatre or milonga.

Small Groups by Design

We intentionally keep our retreat groups intimate enough for everyone to feel welcomed, included and genuinely part of the experience.

Smaller groups also mean real personal attention in class, meaningful feedback, opportunities to ask questions and direct access to the maestros rather than disappearing into a crowd.

Guest Artists

Learn from Outstanding Argentine Maestros

Every guest maestro is personally selected for their artistry, teaching quality, experience and contribution to the living culture of Tango.

Different teachers bring different perspectives on movement, musicality, connection, technique and social dancing.

We have worked, performed and shared the stage with many of Buenos Aires’ most respected Tango artists. Several of these maestros will join us as guest teachers during the retreat.

Final artists may be adjusted according to professional schedules, while preserving the quality of the programme.

Who Is This Retreat For?

Personalised Support for Every Stage of Your Tango Journey

Our Buenos Aires Retreat is designed for dancers who want to immerse themselves in authentic Argentine Tango while enjoying a carefully curated cultural experience. Whether you are building confidence or refining years of experience, our goal is to ensure every guest receives the guidance and challenge they need throughout the week.

New to Tango?

If you are just beginning your Tango journey, you are warmly welcome.

To help you get the most from the retreat, we ask that all beginners complete a minimum of 10 hours of Tango lessons before travelling. These may be private lessons, group classes or a combination of both.

We also encourage you to attend a few social milongas beforehand so that you arrive feeling more comfortable with the social side of Tango.

Complete Beginners

Guests who are complete beginners will require a professional dance assistant to partner them throughout all workshops.

This ensures that you receive consistent guidance, individual support and the greatest possible benefit from every class, while allowing the workshops to flow smoothly for the whole group.

We will organise your professional dance assistant for you. This service is available at an additional cost.

Experienced Dancers

Experienced and advanced dancers will enjoy workshops designed to deepen musicality, technique, connection and understanding of Argentine Tango in its home city.

The teaching offers depth, refinement and detailed exploration, so experienced dancers remain challenged, inspired and able to develop their dancing at a high level.

During workshops, dancers who are not complete beginners regularly rotate partners, creating a dynamic and enriching learning environment.

Professional Dance Assistants in Every Workshop

Our workshops include professional dance assistants who work alongside the teaching team. This gives both newer and experienced dancers opportunities to dance with highly experienced partners, receive individual feedback and benefit from a supportive, balanced learning environment.

Our aim is simple: every guest should feel challenged, inspired and fully supported, regardless of where they are on their Tango journey.
